Nowadays it is not at all unusual to find yourself having worked for several employers half-way through your working life. I 'spoke' to a friend via Facebook the other day, he has been working for IBM for his entire working life (30 years) whereas I have had seven employers in that time. I have worked for the family firm, large utility companies, companies with only three employees, have had two healthcare industry jobs, and now work for a small firm again...
I find that the experiences gathered in all these completely different environments make me better at what I do. Being able to draw on an array of experiences equips you for most eventualities that working life throws at you...
