There a host of ways to set up a business, from starting a business from home, buying an existing business or investing in franchises. Franchises are available for any type of on-line or offline businesses from cleaning businesses to tutoring businesses and just about anything you can think of.
The advantage of a franchise is that someone has already thought out the business model for you (and it usually works), and it comes with it's own corporate image that you can use. Of course, the down-side is that you will have to pay the developer for the model.
Franchises are not for the timid, they are for people who have determination and a bit of spare cash, but who maybe do not have the sort of creativity that could get a business going from scratch.
